Today on my calendar, I have 3 mixes with notes to update. This is squeezed in alongside a fully booked schedule and I’d be lying if I didn’t say this can be overwhelming.
But there are a few things I’ve learnt which helps me meet revision requests, keep things organised, as well as satisfy my clients needs.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t always this easy, because a busy schedule, with ego, and the stresses of visiting a project you otherwise thought should be finished isn’t always a recipe for a clear mindset.
So I’m going to address what I think are the biggest challenges when it comes to mix revisions.

I've got a vinyl mastering project lined up to work through today and it’s always fun to revisit some of the practical considerations we make in the process.
I’ll detail simple steps, that if you follow will make your cutting engineers life a breeze.
Unfortunately, most people are copy-cutting dribs and drabs of advice on vinyl mastering blindly without context.
